My thoughts： This exhibition as a Sextette，it plays around home， homeland，nostalgia and home coming 。 Most of the photographers travel afar to search and observe other people‘s life or search for their own roots。 Ultimately it is a process of self discovery journey。 Amelie discovered her mother’s hometown in the remote mountain village in  Sshangxi， 50 more newly added relatives still preserve the traditional life style in the old cave houses， it is like traveling through time capsule， to find the bond between herself and land her grandfather even forefathers。 self recognition。 Although the village is also going through the fast development of China， encountering similar problems of other villages in such conditions， the youth seeking employment in big towns while the elders and children stay behind。  The atmosphere she catches dated back 20 years more in life， time stops in the village as if the village is waiting for her homecoming journeys to present her what happened in the past and is happening at present。

　　Yana captured the Sorbian group， the Slavic group lives in German。 People preserve the same custom， language， festival，religious rituals through generations in order to keep their identity， whereas live along with the ever changing outside modern world。

　　Julia lived in the Baster Land in Namibia for two years， following the people ，the mixed people，the offsprings of the western colonizers and the local people。 Especially after 1890 German occupation， the German influence。  These people used to suffer racial prejudice。 These people may never been to the west world， but they adopt the traditional costume and farming life style one can find in Europe farming community， eg。 The produce the best beef。

　　Ira construct the scenes in the homes of the Russian German immigrants group。 These German 250 years ago moved to Russia and now when they immigrant back to their ancenstets‘ homeland， they are still outsiders。 Ira put them in familiar family setting but compose the shootings。 It looks surreal。

　　Johanna spent two years up and down with circuses。 This Iceland circus started by Lee， an Australia acrobat ？ Who used to teach foot standing and the class grow into a professional circus。 Lee was a depressed clown back home land but found his new life in Iceland and also brought happiness to this country where no year long circus existed in the past。 People travel miles to see their performance.Lee found his peace and home here。

　　Jonas does soul searching through discovering his surroundings and mundane details， he goes into his reflection of life and makes the ordinary objects transcend spiritual implications。               

　　It is a refreshing experience while we travel with these works in this exhibition，  we  all spend our whole life embarking on a home coming journey， whether it is physical or spiritual， I wish we all find peace。

　　今天要讲的是6个年轻摄影师关于“寻找”的故事。

　　艾米丽·卡恩-阿克曼

　　Amlie Kahn-Ackermann

　　艾米丽今年23岁，是一名中德混血。小时候，她往返于俄罗斯、意大利、中国生活，从未在同一个地方停留超过5年的时间。直到18岁，她才回到德国生活。“德语是我最擅长的语言，但我却从不觉得这里是‘家’。” 艾米丽说道。

　　她所寻找的，正是自己的故乡。

　　在艾米丽的世界里，“家”或者“家乡”的含义始终不简单。19岁的时候，她从母亲口中知道了自己在思家沟的家人，这对她来说是一种莫大的惊喜——“突然出现了50多个新的家庭成员”。

　　思家沟是一个坐落在陕北偏远山区的小村庄。在这里，时间似乎静止了，数百年的古老生活方式在那里得到保存和延续。

　　艾米丽在德国的家庭气氛有时候非常冷漠，她的爷爷奶奶甚至不让她以“爷爷”“奶奶”来称呼他们，这让他们觉得自己更老了。但在思家沟，情况却刚好相反。

　　上图中正是艾米丽的姨婆。93岁的她独自一人生活在山里。她的孩子们都去大城市了。尽管已经年迈，但她仍旧照看着房屋和农田。“我的姨婆总是拉着我的手，照顾我，就好像她是我的亲祖母一样。每次我离开思家沟的时候，她都会哭。”

　　上图中的女孩儿6岁，艾米丽遇到她的时候，她正在思家沟小学做功课。“20年前，这所学校还有200名孩子念书，现在只剩下4个了。”

　　上面的照片拍摄于大小仅次于思家沟的村镇，陌生人的家。艾米丽非常喜欢这张照片，屋里带着时间痕迹的物什，都让艾米丽觉得迷人。

　　艾米丽说，思家沟的年轻人相继去城市寻找工作，这里的老人却不想离开。长久保留下来的传统和习惯，都已成为他们生命中的一部分。而在中国快速的发展和巨变之下，自己的“故乡”或许即将消失，这让她感到悲伤。

　　“我的祖父16岁时离开思家沟，再也没有回去。直到2004年，我的母亲才第一次与祖父的家人相见。她和我祖父之间有着很难相处的关系，也对他的家庭和过去不太了解。对她来说，和她父亲的家人相见也是非常重要的一件事。我想，我的出现对双方都很重要。我感觉到，当母亲回到了思家沟，就像是把我祖父的一部分带回了家乡。”

　　与艾米丽有着相似的“寻找方式”，朱莉娅对19世纪德国殖民地-纳米比亚的德裔移民后代进行了记录（Basterland又称里霍博斯-Rehoboth，是非洲西南部国家纳米比亚的城镇。在殖民地时期被称为“杂种的地方”）。

　　约翰娜从十三、四岁的时候就开始拍照了。那时候，她用相机记录自己的生活，她的朋友，以及周围的一切。“当时，我的第一台数码相机被偷了，于是我就开始用叔叔的胶片相机。”

　　2012年的冬天，约翰娜第一次去冰岛。“很辛苦，但是我度过的一段最好的时光。” 后来，她的某位朋友搬去了冰岛，她开始有了在冰岛拍摄马戏团的想法。通过收音机的广告，她认识了照片中的这些人。

　　约翰娜从现实所能提供的一切中，寻找自己想要记录的东西，然后进行改造，重新排列组合成符合自己内在的新图像。这些在冰岛的马戏团艺术家们的照片，给人一种超现实又荒诞的感觉。她捕获了他们在训练和表演的时刻，也展现出了冰岛辽阔的自然景观。

　　神话的力量可以超越时间。世代相传，不断变化，但不失力量。在现代文化中，神话总是被青睐的那个，却很少有人认真对待它。

　　雅娜就是这样寻找并试图恢复一个族群的记忆和传说，她的照片展现出德国少数民族索布人祖先所流传下来的习俗和生活方式。

　　雅娜并不关注他们每日的重复生活，却记录了他们的“奉献精神”，因此也让这些照片充满了神秘，甚至带着一点迷信，比如金色的苹果或充满迷雾的森林，系在女性身上的铃铛，种种细节都非常奇妙。“这都是一个社会中情感与浪漫的反映，社会也因此鲜活。那些充满奉献精神的人坚持着把这些传统一代一代地传递下去。”

　　艾拉就像是一个导演，她将俄裔德国人所居住生活的地方作为拍摄环境和背景，编排和叙述了他们的生存状况。她寻找着他们的“身份认知”。

　　250年前，大约三万名德国人移居俄罗斯，希望过上更好的生活。当这些俄裔德国人回到了所谓的“德国家乡”时，又成为了被大家所讨论的公众话题。因为在那个“家乡”，他们属于最大的移民群体。

　　“这些都是明显的摆拍与设计，主角们处在他们所生活的环境，这是一种‘文化标示’。”

　　乔纳斯·费格

　　与上面5位摄影师不同，乔纳斯则选择了一条不同的路：他拍下自己所见的一切，日常场景、不被人察觉的细节……这些并不是刻意的寻找，更多的是一种“巧合”和“偶遇”。在他的意识里，他不断地过滤现实，从而形成内心中真正的表达。

　　对乔纳斯来说，摄影可以讲述虚构的故事，甚至谈论未来，而不是过去发生了什么。保持着这样的想法，眼睛看到的都非常真实，“这是画画不能做到的”。乔纳斯的目标就是拍下现实世界中的一切，那些“无法用其他途径表达的东西”。
